Hand-Painted 1800-Piece Tree Of Life Mural Wraps The Facade Of Cult Gaia’s Store

In the heart of Miami‘s Design District, Cult Gaia’s latest flagship transcends the conventional retail store, unfolding instead as an ethereal gallery space. NYC-based architecture and interior firm Sugarhouse brings iconic historical archetypes from classical antiquity and Persian heritage to this new building. 1800-piece hand-painted tree of life mural by artist Michael Chandler wraps the elevation, while within, a central dressing area made of one hundred individually chiseled sandstone blocks is brought to life in an ethereal glow.

Designers Jess and Jonathan Nahon and the founder Jasmin Larian Hekmat designed the 1,502-square-foot retail space to honour the Cult Gaia ethos of divine femininity and an appreciation for Mother Earth. “In designing our Miami store, we sought to create not just a space, but a sanctuary that transcends time—where every corner, every detail, reflects the soul of Cult Gaia,” says Larian Hekmat.

In designing the Miami store, Larian Hekmat aimed to honor the brand’s heritage in a personal and profound manner. Hand-painted tile facades depict symbols significant to her, including pomegranates in homage to her grandfather. The interior is divided into three sections, with skylight domes reminiscent of the Pantheon. The meticulously designed interior, featuring sculptures and natural elements, invites visitors to experience fashion in a temple-like setting. Inspired by nature and women, Cult Gaia’s designs are not just Objets d’Art but also functional pieces that celebrate individuality and beauty. As the brand continues to evolve, its commitment to creating unique, head-turning pieces remains unwavering, embodying the creative spirit of Gaia, the goddess of Mother Earth.
