Two boys saw a dog fully covered with tar when they are walking down the street in lanus, Argentina.
The dog looks horrible and no one could tell whether someone intentionally threw him into the tar or the doggie fell into the tar himself.
All they know is that the dog is in need of help and he needed it urgently for his survival.
The volunteers started a 5-hour cleaning process so as to remove all the tar after taking the dog to Zoonosis Lanus shelter because as at then he could barely move.
Myriam Ortellado explained that so as to be able to clean the dog they bought lot of things and watched tutorials as well.
They keep checking different products available and the result each gave.
“Firstly, it was an impossible task, but when oil was used step by step it worked. A total of five liters of oil was used.
The name Petro was given to the dog meaning petroleum in Spanish.
Due to the presence of tar in the dog’s ear, nostril and intestine the vets were worried initially about intoxication.
However Petro keep getting stronger on daily basis.
His rescuer recently said Petro would be castrated so as to get a forever loving home and this we hope will definitely mark a brighter part in Petro’s life.
