“I’m like the hummingbird paparazzi, jumping out of bushes to take their photos.”
A bird enthusiast, Tracy Johnson, has quite an affinity towards birds. She spends at least half an hour daily in her backyard in Livermore, California while she waits for her group of hummingbirds to gather. She uses hummingbird feeders so that they come close to her. As soon as they come close, she manages to click their photo before they fly back. Now, she knows the birds so well that she identified as a few regulars. You can see the amazing photos she has captured by navigating to their Instagram account.
Hummingbirds are known for beating their wings rapidly and reaching speeds of up to 54 km/hr. As they fly away fast, Johnson finds it difficult to capture their photos and only 1 in 5 photos emerge well without any distortion. You can visit her Instagram page to see a hummingbird themed account along with a few best shots of hummingbirds.
