This Pit Bull Waited 5 Years At The Shelter… Until A Facebook Post Turned His Life Upside-Down.

When dogs are brought to shelters, some of them get adopted fast while others wait years in captivity. The longer dogs stay in shelters, the older they get and the more likely they will obtain a disability. These are the dogs that usually never get adopted. Most people prefer to adopt puppies so they can raise them from early on in their lives.

There is a 6-year-old pit bull named Chester that’s been at a shelter for 5 years without ever getting adopted. Recently a picture of him was posted on Facebook and it got a lot of people’s attention online. The picture shows Chester holding a cardboard sign with writing on it that basically asks the question “Why Doesn’t Anybody Want Me?”

Someone also created an entire Facebook page devoted to Chester and his 5 years of waiting to be adopted. Finally, one family saw the page and decided to adopt him. After 5 years, Chester now has a new home with the Ferro family.
