“You can’t not love this dog. She’s just the happiest little girl.”
Sassy, the dog adopted by Ernie Altamirano is truly a living wonder. When vets first saw him, they said that it would not live beyond its third birthday. Shockingly, defying the claims of all the vets they had ever met, Sassy turned four and she did not have any type of health issues. Due to the presence of certain congenital deformities, people expected that Sassy would not live for a long time and it is generally caused due to inbreeding.
Due to bad breeding, there was dwarfism in Sassy and she is just a quarter in size of a typical pit bull.
She has flipper-like feet and twisted forelegs.
Her tongue does not fit inside the mouth easily and she is not able to breathe properly at most of the times.
Due to the flipper feet, her legs cannot be straightened either and her feet are not of much use.
However, she claps her jaw when she wants to bark.
Despite all the health issues the dog has, she is smart and is a wonderful dog.
Ernie is glad to have Sassy in his life and thinks that it is the happiest little girl around!
