Dubai is known for its extravagant architecture and, if Moon World Resorts has its way, a new hotel is set to reshape the most populous city in the UAE. The Canada-based company plans to build four MOON resorts, with the first designated for Dubai. The 735-foot-tall replica of the Moon will include all the amenities one would expect from a luxury resort, as well as special experiences meant to replicate a visit to Earth’s satellite.

“People want something unique, something different, something ‘Wow’,’” Michael Henderson, co-founder of Moon World Resorts Inc, tells The New York Post. “With Moon [World Resorts], for US$500, they can walk on an authentic lunar surface and enjoy exploring a lunar colony in a spectacular way.” Guests will enjoy a life-changing experience while the global financial community will derive meaningful benefits from the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) opportunity.

Moon World Resorts has also announced that the latest design updates for MOON include two additional discs within the lower superstructure building. These will feature “The Private Residence at MOON”. Approximately 144 luxury units will be available for purchase, each 2000 sqft / 186 sqm. Owners will enjoy exclusive privileges via lifetime membership in their MOON Owners Club.
According to the company, the MOON project, a LEED Platinum development, will have a net zero environmental impact thanks to an ecosystem-based environmental management approach. MOON’s carbon footprint will be reduced by using ecosystem service-based analysis. Throughout the grounds, biodiversity will be promoted, including a large pollinator-friendly planted area. Water management will include complete rainwater capture systems and 100% grey water filtration re-use.
