Kyle Leonard is an artist based in Los Angeles whose talents are awe-inspiring. They could also be deemed a curse too, thanks to the very testing technique of choice for his illustrations – Pointillism. This type of technique involves using a range of fine felt-tipped pens that are used to create tiny dots that eventually combine together to create some stunningly detailed works of art. As Leonard explains himself, “Pointillism is my method of madness,” We find it hard to disagree because upon looking at the detailed artworks, it is crazy to think the time and patience required to turn so many dots into magnificent drawings. Grouped in various sizes and shapes, the dots combine to create amazingly fantastical images, many of which are infusions of different subjects. Animals such as elephants or octopuses are gorgeously detailed and lifelike, yet combined together with things like trees and buildings to show off some truly unique and surreal drawings.
