Kris Kuksi is an American artist known for his intricate and eerie sculptures inspired by the industrial world and all its rigid machinery. Most of his works are a juxtaposition of mass consumption and human frailty which brings a graceful flow to his design. One can also see the influence of baroque and rococo styles on Kuksi’s sculptures as well as paintings. Nevertheless, the text focuses on his Church Tank sculptures in which Kuksi places a church on top of tank palettes. These sculptures are elaborate examples of his combination of brute war machinery with sophisticated architecture.
