Usually, if your family member suffers burns due to a house fire, you would not abandon them and be their side at all times. However, a family abandoned a poor pup after firefighters managed to pull him out alive from the flames. The family took him to the vet, and looking at his condition, decided to abandon him right there. However, the story did not end there for Jake and he has a story for us.
Initially, he was abandoned after a house fire.
When he was abandoned, he was not over a few weeks old.
He was then transferred to rehab, where he made a full recovery. However, the scars still remained.

And luckily, the firefighter who rescued Jake decided to adopt him and give him a new home!
Now, he is seen hanging out happily with the firefighter.
Also, he is now the official mascot of the firefighter department and accompanies people during fire safety lectures at school.
He is now sworn in as a member of the fire safety department.
And is now a therapy dog!
