Sindhudurg Fort in Maharashtra, India
The construction of the Sindhudurg Fort took place between 1664 and 1667 over an area of 5,207 square kilometers. Nearly 100 specially invited Portuguese architects as well as 3000 workers worked in the construction of this large fort. According to a belief, even the king himself physically contributed to the building process.
