Great White Sharks are impressive to many the marine lovers, especially those who watch Discovery Network’s Shark Week every year. For those that do, you’ll likely remember Deep Blue, a pregnant great white shark that was successfully tagged during this heart-thumping episode. Measuring over 20 feet long, she is the biggest great white shark known to man and is impressive to look at on screen. Recently, shared on Facebook, new footage has surfaced of this beautiful shark who is curiously checking out the cage and camera while the diver tries to keep her away from it. Most of us would be terrified to be facing such a scary, massive beast with plenty of teeth that can hurt us, but the diver merely pushes the snout away and keeps doing his business. This is a risk that isn’t exactly recommended, but can be understood similar to a cat’s behaviour.
I give you the biggest white shark ever seen in front of the cages in Guadalupe Island….DEEP BLUE!!!Este es el tiburón blanco mas grande visto desde las jaulas en Isla Guadalupe…DEEP BLUE!!!

She, like a dog or cat, wanted to see what was going on, so was probing the camera with her nose to find out information. She was simply curious about all of the belongings, so she circled around and tried to find out more information. Seeing the diver push her away like an irksome pet is funny and interesting, especially since sharks are notoriously depicted as beasts who kill on sight just for the fun of it. Though she far from harmless, it’s refreshing to see Deep Blue so curious and young in these videos that were filmed off the island of Guadalupe. Who knows, maybe she’ll give birth to equally large and curious friendly great white shark babies!
