Giant 12-Foot Alligator Casually Crosses Paths with Tourists in Florida

We all know Florida has alligators but many people don’t realize how big they can get. Last weekend, a group of tourists in Lakeland, Florida were unexpectedly treated to the sight of a 12-foot alligator who just casually walked across the path they were on at a local nature center. The alligator seemed to just ignore the few people that were around it. Meanwhile, these people were taking their cameras out and capture photographs and video recordings of this massive reptile.

Kim Joiner was one of the bystanders who happened to witness the alligator walking by the grassy path they were on. Fortunately, she was able to film the alligator moving past them. Although 12-feet isn’t a record length for an alligator, it is certainly uncommon to see alligators that big just casually walking on land.
