‘Lilith’ by David Černý Prague, Czechia
David Černý’s Lilith is as monumental as it is provocative. Installed in 2022, this 80-foot-tall, 35-ton metal figure clings to an apartment building in Prague, embodying Černý’s signature boldness. With her legs slightly apart and a dramatic lean toward the structure, Lilith exudes both power and intrigue. But there’s more—this isn’t a static sculpture. Lilith comes to life, periodically turning her head a full 180 degrees, captivating onlookers and sparking conversation about its meaning.
