Designed by Luciano Pia, Condominio 25 Verde is a steel structure that looks like a tree house thanks to its design and 150 trees covering its terraces. This living forest creates a microclimate inside the building by reducing the temperature in summer while rising it in wintertime. Additionally, 25 Verde also helps clean the air of Turin where Fiat cars started to be manufactured.
According to the estimations, Condominio 25 Verde absorbs approximately 200,000 liters of carbon dioxide per hour.
There are units in the building with different sizes fitted with the irregular shape of the terraces. The project also aims to use energy more efficiently. So, Pia adopted several integrated solutions such as continuous insulation, sun protection, geothermal heating and cooling systems, and recycling of rainwater for irrigation purposes.
