Bottled water has many setbacks, namely to do with the plastic used on the bottles, which are mostly thrown away – a rate of 90,000 every minute! This does a lot of environmental damage, and using reusable bottles is always a helping factor.
This prompted the idea of Hydaway by Niki Singlaub, who took it a step further by creating a collapsible pocket sized water bottle. It can hold up to 600 ml when in used, and is collapsed into 3.2 cm when not in use, making it easy to fit in pockets.
Not only is it good for the environment, it’s also incredibly useful for many situations. One in particular the Singluab was experiencing was when travelling for business trips, where you can finish your water and easily collapse the bottle and place it in your pocket when going through security.
Hydaway has been in development since 2012, with a Kickstarter campaign starting in April 2015. hydawaybottle.com | Kickstarter | Facebook (h/t: laughingsquid)
