We all want to retreat back into our shells, figuratively speaking, whenever we encounter a high stress situation. That’s why when we feel confident, people refer to it as coming out of our shells. Imagine if we could do that literally. Well, this creature can. It’s a type of octopus which acts almost like a hermit crab – stealing things from the shore to use as containers for it to hide in when faced with stress. This underwater diver captured this particular cephalopod with a coconut to hide in. Whilst what it’s doing is perfectly natural behaviour, we guarantee that you will not be able to stop laughing when you watch!
