Anyone who has ever had a pet or even been around someone else’s will know how much animals love to lick stuff. It is not only a favourite past time of them for when they are having fun, but it actually helps them navigate through all the excitement of the world.
A perfect example of this would be when animals are trying to understand the concept of glass. To them it is an invisible wall they know nothing about, so why not stick out their tongues to see if they can suss it out a little better!
