Abandoned House
This is a photo of a beautiful fresco in an abandoned house. The fresco represents a parrot cage. Fresco is a technique where freshly laid, or wet lime plaster, is painted. Water is used to ‘transport’ the dry-powder pigment to merge with the plaster, and while the plaster is setting it becomes an integral part of the wall. The result is stunning.
This is a photo of the beautiful main hall in an abandoned palace. The palace, dating back to the 16th century, is mostly empty. Most of the rooms have amazing art or frescoes on the walls. The fresco on the ceiling in this room, created by a famous artist at the time, is exceptional. (Italy)
