Everyone wonders what the buildings of the future are going to look like. For some senior citizens in Paris, France, they’re still living in the past because they’re living in huge housing projects which were constructed in the 1950s through the 1980s. They don’t even know what modern-day buildings are like.
Laurent Kronental is a French photographer took it upon himself to document the living conditions of these senior citizens in a project called “Souvenir d’un Futur.” His goal is to bring attention to a generation of citizens who are being neglected by society. By capturing these older suburban areas in photographs, it creates a kind of poetry that reflects how these environments are aging slowly to the point where they will vanish completely.
