Based on the structure and way of life of a sea urchin, Jennifer Maestre, an artist who is responsible for bringing organic life forms on paper using pencils and pencil shavings, has come up with yet another wonderful job! Her pictures appear to have grown tentacles and have a striking resemblance to an octopus.
These artworks are designed by Jennifer to make the design look catchy; while still representing that the painting has its own defense. She opines that the spines of urchins are dangerous and beautiful; which force people close by to stand far and appreciate it, as a mere touch would lead to untoward consequences. She uses two different textures to give it an aesthetic look and appeals, making it look paradoxical.
She had also put up all of them in an exhibition named “Waste to Art” in Azerbaijan. If you wish to know more about her work, follow her on Facebook.
