As anyone that has ever had a pet dog can testify to, nothing can get a pooch excited quite like a tasty doggie treat. German photographer Christian Vieler had a genius idea regarding giving dogs a treat, where he would photograph the exact moment a dog caught the snack, with a few action shots of the moments before and after this too.

He wanted to capture the emotions on the faces of dogs as they tried to catch some treats, most of which look incredibly excited. The collection of snaps makes for fantastic viewing, as you can see just how happy and excited the dogs are to be getting a nice treat.

“Every shoot I am looking for that specific moment when the dog is looking as cute or funny as they can be,” said Vieler. “That cannot be seen without the power of freezing motion – dog’s faces with magnificent lineaments, telling us stories of panic, desire, and joy.” He also explains that he is inspired by “every dog-personality and a good portion of humor.”
