Unique Round Gardens Of Copenhagen In Denmark

Round Gardens, which are in the suburban district of The Naerum of Copenhagen in Denmark, have a unique appearance. They actually have an oval shape with their surrounding hedges. Architect Søren Carl Theodor Marius Sørensen created the project with 40 oval allotment gardens, each measuring approximately 25×15m in 1948.

Owners may position their cottages, select the surrounding hedges, and layout the interior of their plots. In addition to that, architect Sørensen provided some useful suggestions for the owners, which are taken as a kind of guide for designing.

Even after many years, the round gardens are still one of the most beautiful attractions in the Danish capital.

While they have an amazing look from above, it is a pleasure to take a walk amongst the gardens as well. Walking around the gardens is a unique experience.

Architect Sørensen designed Round Gardens without easy reaching by cars on purpose. His aim was to make residents walk more and enjoy the fresh air of its unique nature. Also, this allows making residents more socialize while walking around the gardens.
