20 Vintage Photos That Show the Golden Age of Travel Trailers

Not many people will vacation with a travel trailer in tow these days, but back in 1950s America, it was all the rage. They actually came into public view as early as the 1920s, but they were often small cramped things that weren’t the most desirable of trailers.

Yet the 1950s saw an explosion in popularity, thanks in no part to them becoming bigger and getting more features during the 30s and 40s.

Travel trailers would soon evolve into the RVs that we see and use today, although the throwback trailers from the 50s showcase just how big they once were.

Take a look at some vintage photos of travel trailers in action.
