This Canadian Hot Spring has a Hair Freezing Contest Every Winter

Every February the Takhini Hot Pools in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada host a Hair Freezing Contest. Visitors dunk their hair in the hot water (usually 40° Celsius/104° Fahrenheit) and then let it freeze in the chilly air above (temperatures in Feb. can easily dip below -30° Celsius/-22° Fahrenheit). Contestants are free to mold and style their hair as it freezes. You can see all of the entries on the Takhini Hot Pools Facebook page. The three grand prize winners below all received $150 cash.
