Artist Spent One Year In The Woods Creating Surreal Sculptures From Organic Materials

Artist Spencer Byles has a devotion to his work that will put most of us to shame. Wanting to create some truly original and genuine sculptures, he decided to relocate to the forests near his home, with the hopes of using nature as his tools.

Using only what nature had to offer him, he began sculpting surreal works of art that are part of the environment that surrounds it. Everything he found and used was part of the forest, and it will return to the forest over time.

Shaping and bending natural resources to create amazing pieces of art is one thing, but the fact he keeps it a well-guarded secret is a testament to his commitment to his art. Unless you happen to be walking through the forests of La Colle Sur Loup, Villeneave Loubet or Mougins, you will have to settle for these photos that Spencer himself took, luckily they are quite impressive. frenchforestsculptures.blogspot.fr | Facebook (h/t: mymodernmet)
