As the saying goes, life comes at you fast. There’s no way to know what kind of life that Penelope the Pit Bull had before she was rescued by the Hope For Paws foundation, but suffice it to say that it probably wasn’t easy. When the crew found her, abandoned in an industrial area and living in a pile of blankets and trash, she was so downtrodden that she hardly even reacted to their presence. She accepted food and petting, but they could tell that was wrong, as she wasn’t really moving. They workers wondered if she had been seriously injured, and weren’t sure how to proceed. What one of the volunteers did to get Penelope off the ground was certainly brave and totally inspiring. You’re going to be smiling from ear to ear when you see Penelope’s recovery.
