Internet In Real Life: Italian Village Turned Into Web 0.0 By Biancoshock

Believe it or not, there are some places that the Internet and mobile connections don’t exist the way you would want them too.  There is one small Italian village that is the perfect example.  Filled with a large population of elderly, this community has decided to make the internet come to them in terms of physical locations.  There are various set ups around the town that are physical manifestations of the internet must haves.  These include Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, eBay and more.  It’s so interesting to see these things existing in real life when the rest of us are looking for them online.  It shows that the Internet – like most things in life – is up for negotiation and re-calibration.  It’ll be interesting to see if they line up to the same things in the minds of the residents of this small town.  For some yes, for others, no.  More and more social media outlets have yet to appear here.
