In 1947, Ten Comic Strip Artists Were Asked To Draw Their Characters Blindfolded

You would think that with the thousands of different occasions in which a comic strip artist will have to draw their character, that they’d be able to draw them at any time-even in their sleep or with their eyes closed. However, we found the truth of this matter; in nineteen forty-seven, Life magazine decided to test this theory by inviting some of the best comic strip artists of the time to come and do the blindfolded comic book character drawing challenge.

The results are hilarious; whilst a lot of the features are correct, they resemble Picasso more than a comic book character, as the facial features are all out of place. LIFE Magazine | Blogspot (h/t: master_mayhem)
