Bet Giyorgis Church
Bet Giyorgis actually means the Church of St George. The church now however is simply called Lalibela. This is often referred to as one of the eight wonders of the world, and for a very good reason.
Suspended Temple of Mt. Hengshan
This temple is often referred to as the hanging temple. This temple is a holy place for the Chinese and it is over 1500 years old. It was constructed using oak beams that were fitted into the cliff.
Al Khazneh
This crypt is featured in the Hollywood film Indiana Jones. It is Petra’s claim to fame, however it was originally built as a crypt. The building is very impressive when it comes to size, but when you go inside you will find that it only has one small chamber.
Chand Baori
This monument can be found in India in the Rajasthan state. The stairs have over 3500 steps and they go 100ft under water.
